Howell Therapy: Passage to Wellness Psychological Services

Rates

Therapy Rates:

Individual, Couples, Families– $200 per hour; $275 per 90 minutes

Group– Rates vary, but typically $400 for 8 weeks

Initial consultation fee: $100 for a 30-40 minute consultation. The purpose of an initial consultation is to determine whether we would make a good client/therapist match. Not all therapists work for all people, therefore, it is often important to establish whether or not we can work together before pursuing a therapeutic relationship.

First Nations Health Authority Approved Therapist

If you meet the eligibility requirements, the First Nations Health Authority provides two streams of funding for mental health counselling- The Mental Health Support program for Indian Residential School Survivors (and family members) and the Short Term Crisis Intervention mental health program. If you think you might be eligible, contact the First Nations Health Authority. Once they confirm you are eligible, then you can email me to set up the counselling approval process.

Crime Victims Assistance Program

If you have been a victim of a violent crime, you might qualify for assistance from the BC Government’s Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). The CVAP provides financial support to eligible victims, immediate family members of victims, and some witnesses, to help them recover from the impact of violent crimes and abuse. You need to directly apply to this program, and can get help with this through your local Victim Services Support Worker. Once you are approved, I am a Registered Psychologist provider with the CVAP program and handle the billing for you directly with CVAP.

Consulting/Research Rates:

These rates are negotiable and will be based on what the required tasks consist of. Typical rates: $700-$1200 per day.

***I work on a SLIDING SCALE and appreciate the financial challenges that many people face. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss further.

***Fees for psychologists are not covered by MSP. However, many people have some coverage for psychological services through their employer based health insurance plans. An official receipt is given at the end of each session, which can then be submitted for reimbursement to your individual health insurance company.***
